“Titan” Makes Radiation Therapy Available to More Cancer Patients
Researchers at the German laboratory Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) are using ORNL's “Titan” supercomputer to observe atomic-scale interactions that will play a large role in treating cancer. HZDR researcher Michael Bussman explains that without access to leadership-class supercomputing resources, his team would not be able to run such complex simulations efficiently.
